XIXth century Brazilian countryside. After losing their daughter and granddaughter to smallpox, an elderly couple sees their faith rot.

Flávio Carnielli is a Brazilian horror/gore filmmaker who, inspired by the works of controversial geniuses like Russ Meyer and Herschell Gordon Lewis, decided to be a self-learning, provocative and truly independent filmmaker in a country where artistic freedom is not welcome. His latest short movie Rotten Faith was shown in eight countries and won 20 prizes.
